The Agony Aunt Hour: Let’s Talk About Loneliness

Tips on what each of us can do to feel more connected and less isolated in our lives.

WHEN:

Thursday 12 May 2022

2:00 – 3:00 PM BST

9th-15th May is Mental Health Awareness Week.

I can’t imagine that bouts of loneliness don’t hit us all at some point in our lives.  Even when we live with others, we can be visited by waves of feeling isolated and out of reach.  It’s not quite the same thing as depression, but the impact can be just as debilitating.  Alongside this, we can feel that we don’t have the internal resources to combat this sense of separation from others.

There’s no doubt whatsoever that the pandemic has exacerbated people’s feelings of loneliness, where we have had to pull on all our inner reserves just to get through each day, so there’s not much left over to combat this remoteness.

It’s not all bleak!

A Time to Talk About the Impact of Loneliness on Mental Health

Join us for The Agony Aunt Hour, where Impact Factory Director and psychotherapist, Jo Ellen Grzyb will answer your questions and open up the virtual arena to look at these issues in an empathetic and humanly approachable way.
