THEME:
We are thrilled to support and promote Learning at Work Week again this year. 2023’s theme is ‘Create the future’ and three sub-themes are ‘Think future’, ‘Future fit’, and ‘Future skills’.
Future Skills
What are the tools, techniques, knowledge, and skills that can help us and our organisation achieve our short-term and longer-term goals and aspirations and help us create the futures we’d like? How can we acquire the learning building blocks and constantly refresh our skills, so we can adapt and flourish?
WHEN:
Monday 15th May 2023
12:00 – 1:00 PM BST
Coaching and mentoring can be effective approaches to developing employees. Both have grown in popularity, with many employers using them to enhance the skills, knowledge, and performance of their people around specific skills and goals.
Both are based on the use of one-to-one conversations to enhance an individual’s skills, knowledge, or work performance. They may appear interchangeable, but understanding the key differences between coaching and mentoring can help you determine which method employees and/or clients may benefit from most.
Join us for an opportunity to ask questions about Coaching and Mentoring and discuss ways to apply coaching and mentoring principles as part of an overall learning and development strategy.
Please join us for an engaging, interactive, highly relevant, and fun 60 minutes.
We’ll look at:
- Understanding the differences between coaching and mentoring
- Preparing and supporting people through change
- Offering advice for individuals aiming to develop their organisations approach further
